Adding in the darker, high end joinery elements into this well-lit family home.
The finishes chosen by the client for the joinery items in this property were a lot of fun to work with. The natural, real-wood veneer looks absolutely stunning with it’s dark stain, making it really stand out in a very well-lit living space. Finishing touches like the integrated LEDs and white, thick marble tops, really adds to this high end joinery project.
The fact that the joinery elements seem to fit seamlessly into the space, looking like they have always been there, really is testament to the design and finish achieved. It was important that the joinery products crafted were not only beautiful to look at, but worked well functionally, to slot in seamlessly with the homeowner’s way to living.
Bespoke Wine Unit
The stand-out element by us is the large, wine storage unit. We milled slots into tilted shelving to allow for the wine bottles to be displayed beautifully and safely. Criss-cross shelving at the bottom of the unit allowed for a traditional way for storing bottles, with an extra shelf at the top to store those necessary oenophile accessories. The dark, glass doors allow for the bottles to be displayed without the risk of curious children getting hold of the Chateau d’Yquem. This bespoke unit really added a ‘conversation starter’ to the room. After installation, being able to stand back and view the final product was immensely satisfying.
